MC3 Apprenticeship Readiness Program

The Dayton Miami Valley AFL-CIO has partnered with the Dayton Building & Construction Trades Council to offer residents a path to the middle class

No experience in the construction industry is necessary or required to apply!

A career with one of the affiliated trades (see below-right) will provide participants with a great starting wage, health benefits, and retirement benefits

Our 6-week MC3 Apprenticeship Readiness Program

To apply you must:

Want a career in construction?

  1. Complete application
  2. Drug Free & Healthy
  3. 18 years of age or older
  4. High School Diploma or GED
  5. Passing Assessment (WRAT5)
  6. Valid Driver's license or Learner's Permit


You will learn about:

  • The Construction Industry
  • General orientation to apprenticeship
  • Tools and materials
  • Essential construction math
  • Job Readiness
  • Blueprint reading
  • Heritage of the American   Worker
  • Diversity in the Construction Industry

Become certified in:

  • OSHA 10
  • CPR, AED and First Aid
  • *Ohio State Apprenticeship Council Certification
  • North America's Building Trades Union (NABTU) Apprenticeship Readiness Certification
